Question by : Who has ideas on what to teach elementary school students to teach them substance abuse prevention?
I am in a group that teaches students about the consequences of drug use, what are some games or fun activities we could play with them to help them understand the message we are teaching?

I don’t really have any ideas but what person in those grades would even think about doing drugs?

How about bringing in a policeman to talk about drugs? I remember that one came to my school when I was young, and all the kids enjoyed hearing him talk. You could also bring in some gross pictures of what drugs do to your body – gray lungs from smoking, skin sores from meth, etc, for the older kids. Boys especially find gross stuff interesting, and how ugly it looks can help turn off girls from drugs.
