Brian’s Wish – Gary Mendell Speaks to Clinton Foundation 2013 Health Matters Conference – Gary Mendell, chairman of HEI Hotels and Resorts, speaks to the Clinton Foundation 2013 Health Matters Conference about Brian’s Wish, one of the four featured commitments at the conference. Founded by Gary Mendell in honor of his son Brian who lost his battle with addiction in 2011, the organization’s promise is to spare other families the anguish of grasping desperately and alone for solutions. The mission represents a father’s conviction that programs, policies and partnerships can fulfill Brian’s wish – a wish he could not attain for himself but to which he clung for others: to end addiction.
