I have been smoking weed for 5 years now, recently I have been re evaluating my situation and I feel now is the time to give up my vices. I have dealt with hell these past 5 years and I used weed as an outlet, it was always the thing that I could just do and any problem would melt away….for a while that is. I steadily smoked my way through high school and now most of college and I am ready to quit. But heres the problem, I have been a daily smoker for 5 years…quitting just like that is impossible believe me I have tried, every time I get a little weak or upset thats what I turn to. I would like to quit naturally and over a small amount of time without rehab, any suggestions? NOTE TO READERS: PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ANSWER HOW YOU CHOOSE BUT DONT JUDGE ME, I AM SIMPLY ASKING FOR HELP HERE IF YOU CANT PROVIDE THAT THEN DONT ANSWER, ALL RIDICULOUS RESPONSES WILL BE IGNORED. Arizona illegal immigrants will flood California? And these are drug smugglers, violent criminals who for some reason believe they have a RIGHT to be in this country when they have immigrated ILLEGALLY.
And please don’t say they are good people trying to make a better life for themselves here….read the papers….a good amount of them are VIOLENT, which is why Arizona has finally decided to take such harsh measures.

So I’ve been on probation for a little over 11 months, and I haven’t smoked at all, or drank at all for a year. I was arrested for a DUI in April of ’08, with a BAC of .10, and 50ng/ml of THC d9, and placed in the ARD program December 2nd of the same year. So far I’ve completed my community service, my CRN evaluation, my first PPI evaluation, paid all of my fines, completed Highway and Driving Safety School, gotten treatment at an outpatient center, and am almost done with my 12 months of probation. I report in every month on the 2nd, via call track, and haven’t actually seen my probation officer since my formal arraignment of December 2nd. I was late with a couple of payments over the past year, but I DID get it all paid.

my brother does not have a job but is extremely addicted to drugs. he is willing to get help but cannot afford to. he lives in ohio if that helps

I live in Washington, but our state medical (it’s Medicaid in my state) will pay for Drug Treatment. There are some income guidelines but they are higher than the welfare limits if a person is seeking treatment for addiction.
