Fresno Undercover Cops Shoot, Kill Man in Sanger

Fresno Undercover Cops Shoot, Kill Man In Sanger – A drug investigation took Fresno police to Sanger, and an undercover officer opened fire on a man outside a fast–food restaurant. It happened just after 5 o’clock Thursday night. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says his undercover officers with the narcotic’s enforcement team had just bought two pounds of meth from the three men in the shopping center lot. Dyer says after the buy, one of the men jumped out of the car with a gun, and his officers opened fire. Witnesses say the man was shot in the shoulder. Police say the man then ran towards the McDonald’s drive thru with a gun in his hand, and two other officers opened fire. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital. Adriana Silva who witnessed the shooting says, “It happened so fast, we just froze we went under to hide out, and guy got shot in the drive thru.” The two others in the truck immediately gave up and were arrested. Ironically, just this week, members of the Multi–Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) were given the green light by a judge to actively reduce gang activity in Sanger and improve the quality of life. The sheriff’s department is investigating the shooting.
