How Prevalent Is Drug Abuse Amongst Police Officers?

Question by Curiouser: How prevalent is drug abuse amongst police officers?
I hear about police officers with depression and drug problems (besides the obvious- alcohol).
So how many cops (percentage) are drug abusers and what seems to be their drug of choice?

And I always wondered, where do they get the drugs? From the pile they’ve confiscated from others?
How often are they drug tested?
people, I KNOW alcohol is a drug. I’m asking for one OTHER than the obvious alcohol problem. WHAT OTHER DRUG IS PREVALENT?
