Should jail inmates receive treatment programs? Should Pretrial Detainees be charged for their stay at the County Jail? Explain why or why not. Do jails benefit from inmate programming?

(1) The purpose of jails is to punish not to rehabilitate. No we cannot rehabilitate them. That should be a personal choice to seek. (2) No. If you are detained (arrested) pre-trial, the government has to foot the bill to keep the criminals off the streets. It’s a burden all the taxpayers have to share.
