This website discusses research on genetic vulnerability to addiction. However, I have yet to find ANY information (most likely because it doesn’t exist yet) that can point to one gene that is the cause of addiction. The human genome project hasn’t quite gotten there yet.

It is completely normal. You have been in pain for a while and your body feels it cannot take it anymore so naturally you would think about suicide. However, just because you think about suicide doesn’t mean you will kill your self. I’m sure your doctor can help you get through these thoughts. After all, you have lived through 4 years of pain surely you can live through some bad thoughts. You are strong.

What Are Good Mental Heath Rehabs on the West Coast?

Question by Jesskah: What are good mental heath rehabs on the west coast?
Preferably in Washington or Oregon.

Best answer:

Answer by D.D
I think you are confused a little……there are no mental health rehabs just for mental health, rehabilitation places are usually related to drugs and addictions. Therapy and mental health clinics, and psyc wards in hospitals are for mental health treatments. You may benefit from a retreat of some kind that deals with mental health issues. The easiest thing to do is google mental health retreats, rehabs, and all that and then call and ask people for information specific to that area. Here are two sites for you.
