when your body is dependant on a drug and to stop using that drug would cause withdrawl.. wich would make that person very sick for a while. like your body needs the drug to survive. people can die from withdrawls too.

A drug addiction is formed after repeating the same action over and over again. There are substances in the drug that your body craves after a while, while makes it even harder to quit. Have you ever seen those pictures of meth users and how their appearance changes over like 10 years? If not check out addictedtube.com and they have videos of what happens to your body.

I was reading a statistic the other day that said it takes an adult on average 6 months to get an addiction to alcohol, but it takes a teenager only 6 days! I thought that was amazing. People get addicted to all sorts of things and it can be very hard to get off of.
